About MASF

The Beginning of Something Beautiful

In June 2012, Muscle Activation of San Francisco (MASF) was started by two Master MAT Specialists Brian Hannah and Stacey Earl. The vision was to create a beautiful, conveniently located studio that fused Muscle Activation Techniques with bio-mechanically inspired Pilates and Personal Training, yielding unparalleled results.

MASF is a small, expert team that utilizes a revolutionary, non-invasive approach to the assessment and correction of muscular imbalances, joint instability and limitations in range of motion within the human body. This approach is known as Muscle Activation Techniques. This systematic approach allows us to jump-start the muscles in our clients in order for them to function with maximum efficiency.

What makes MASF unique is the team of MAT specialists who bring tremendous skill and experience with Muscle Activation Techniques combined with the application of bio-mechanics to strengthening the human body. Our small, expert team and referral network work closely together, educating and empowering our clients to become active participants in their journey towards improved function.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be the SF Bay Area’s premier resource for improving the contractile ability of the muscular system. By coupling Muscle Activation Techniques with intelligent resistance training, we aspire to deliver an exercise experience that is unparalleled, yielding extraordinary results.

As word of our clients’ success with MAT has spread throughout the greater Bay Area, demand has necessitated that we expand our reach. As such, MASF founders Brian Hannah and Stacey Earl have begun taking Muscle Activation Techniques clients at their home offices in Lafayette and Petaluma, respectively. We are humbled to have the opportunity to expand our reach to a larger population, helping even more people realize their health and wellness goals!
